Kemal Okten

Before pixels and wireframes, ten year old Kemal was busy experimenting with real wires and fuses and nearly electrocuted himself. When that didn’t work out, he built an overpriced ashtray empire and spent all his earnings on ice cream. He has been chasing that same creative high ever since, now with fewer shocks and more strategy.

Empowering Community, Honoring Heritage.

The website refresh for Lax Kw’alaams Business Development LP was necessary to better reflect the organization’s mission of fostering sustainable economic development and meaningful employment for the Lax Kw’alaams community. The previous website lacked a modern, user-friendly interface and did not effectively communicate the organization’s initiatives, values, or connection to the Indigenous community.

The refresh focused on improving usability, accessibility, and visual storytelling, ensuring that the site now highlights the Band’s cultural heritage, business programs, and sustainability goals.
