Evergreen Cannabis has been a top player in Vancouver's cannabis scene for over ten years, serving as the city's first legal licensed store. But with more cannabis outlets popping up and online delivery becoming popular, the competition has intensified. To stay ahead, I focused on creating a user-friendly online store that maintains Evergreen Cannabis's unique branding and caters to all customers. The goal was clear: replicate the in-store experience online with a seamless, easy-to-use interface.


A critical aspect of Evergreen Cannabis's business model is its array of daily discounts tailored to different customer groups. Working closely with developers, we implemented a dynamic discount system into the e-commerce platform. By creating customer groups and automating discount activation on designated weekdays upon sign-up, we ensured that customers continue to enjoy their preferred pricing while transitioning to online orders.

Furthermore, compliance with provincial regulations posed another challenge. In British Columbia, strict regulations limit cannabis purchases to a maximum of 30 grams of dried weed equivalency. To address this, we introduced a feature during product listing where staff must specify the dried weed equivalency. Should a customer attempt to purchase quantities exceeding the legal limit, the website intelligently restricts checkout, ensuring compliance with regulations.
