Before pixels and wireframes, ten year old Kemal was busy experimenting with real wires and fuses and nearly electrocuted himself. When that didn’t work out, he built an overpriced ashtray empire and spent all his earnings on ice cream. He has been chasing that same creative high ever since, now with fewer shocks and more strategy.

Upon arriving in Canada, I faced challenges adjusting to a new culture and language barriers. One major hurdle was the lack of social connections, leaving me feeling isolated. Over time, I realized this wasn't just my struggle; locals faced it too. To address this, I created Connect—an app focused on meaningful social interactions. Unlike typical social platforms, Connect fosters genuine connections through local gatherings organized by users. Whether it's a coffee meet-up, a hike, or a themed party, Connect brings people together authentically.
